Sunday in Bishop Arts
I love lazy days. Where you have nothing to do and time to do whatever you want. Except this Sunday was NOT a lazy day and I had a LOT to do. Still looked pretty relaxed in this OOTD though!
I’ve recently decided I love this green labelled ‘khaki’. Its not grey, its not black, and its not an outrageous color that makes me feel uncomfortable. I’m very peculiar about the colors I wear, ok?
These joggers from Vacancy Road are lightweight, and mega-comfy. They’re also high-waisted, which works out great for me considering I avoid anything not high-waisted like its the damn plague. I have a pair that are very similar to them actually.
Anyway, these joggers are adorable and are great for strollin’ around Bishop Arts on a Sunday (or running errands).
I paired them with a cozy, basic white tee that has a tight fit and a short sleeve. There’s not really much to say here except it works. In addition to that, I added these khaki (green) sandals that are once again nice and basic. It gives everything a very clean vibe.
To top it all off, I tossed on this hat from Lack of Color. I’m not a huge hat fan, but this helped pull together the look to keep it from appearing too relaxed.
I really love the contrast of the crisp, white tee and the earthy tones of everything else. I felt like I was going on some sort of rich person’s safari in this outfit. Or maybe not, I’m not sure what one wears to a rich person’s safari so… *shrugs*
The point is- this outfit has a nice theme goin’ on.
So that was Sunday in Bishop Arts! Most of these walls can be found off Bishop and Melba- in the heart of the gentrification of Oak Cliff. This is me encouraging you to Shop Small and support local businesses! If you’re in Dallas, grab these pieces in-store. If not, check out your local boutiques for similar items. Small business is having a though time right now (at least in Dallas) so show some love.
