Cold Front #OOTD

When I was in high school, the combo of black and brown was a mortal sin. The ugliest of ugly. Just. Not. Done. I was an all black everything kind of a girl.

These days, it’s a fantastic combo. Something about a nice, rich brown over a basic black outfit makes me super happy.

I also used to despise pointed shoes. You can see how that has changed.

Still, the real star of this outfit happens to be the pants. They’re a loose fitting, highwater trouser with A+ pockets (ask anyone, pockets are important).

I bought these a while back at ASOS and have never regretted it. They lend towards androgynous looks very well, but nip in at the waist enough that I can feel all dainty and cute when the mood calls for it. Plus, they’re lightweight enough that I can pair them with a croptop and sandals in the summer. You can find similar pants at H&M and American Apparel.

This bag is an ultimate favorite of mine, I wear it everywhere. You can find it in just about every store at this point. Totes have been, and will likely continue to be very in. And while this one is reversible, I keep it the way it is while enjoying the pop of brown in the handles.

Recently, my boyfriend Michael ordered me a few pins for my birthday (I am a huge fan of the band Brand New). They went perfectly on my bag and there they shall stay.

All in all, this is one of my favorite looks and it will likely be repeated more than a few times this season. It’s got that, cool coffee shop babe with a thrice stained shirt on kind of a vibe.

A closer look at my pins!
